Overview
On February 26-27th, 2004, the National Center for Environmental Assessment (NCEA), a part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Office of Research and Development, held a two-day public symposium on recently published scientific research related to the health effects of trichloroethylene (TCE). The primary purpose of this symposium was to gather information on recently published scientific research for use by EPA in assessing the human health risks of TCE. EPA used this meeting at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC, to hear from the scientists who are at the forefront of TCE Research. Background
An EPA draft Trichloroethylene Health Risk Assessment: Synthesis and Characterization was released in August 2001. It received public comment as well as peer review by EPA’s Science Advisory Board (SAB). The SAB released a peer review report in December 2002.Additional Information
